Benefits :

Server Consolidation - enabling one server to take on the workloads of multiple servers,
e.g. by consolidating a branch office’s print server, FAX server, Exchange server, and Web
server on a single Windows Server, businesses reduce the costs of hardware,
            maintenance, and staffing.
Network reliability, scalability, security, and flexibility - Servers that slow down due to
peak usage at the start of the workday, for example, can offload some of their workloads
of other servers, which increase their capabilities, or move to more powerful servers,
improving network availability. Virtual machines are able to take advantage of security and
capacity advancements found in the current generation of server hardware.

Case Studies :

iTOOLS – iTOOLS were planning to upgrade their servers, we at Micron took this project and suggested them with an architecture which will not only allow the organization save in no of hardware servers but also help them cut the operation costs to maintain these servers. We have proposed server virtualization solutions for iTOOLS.
